Trail Guide Launched!

Ulfah Arts worked with Birmingham Musuem and Art gallery on developing an Islamic Trail.

Aims:

•To produce an illustrated printed guide for all visitors to the Museum, linking objects on display together, and providing a trail for people to follow throughout the galleries

•To develop a closer relationship between BM&AG and its local Muslim communities through enabling access to and understanding of the permanent collections

•To highlight and re-interpret relevant objects from BM&AG’s permanent collections

•To develop the content of the trail guide with members of local Muslim communities, giving them a voice within the galleries

•To enable participants to find out and understand more about the work of the Museums service

•To incorporate two items on loan from national collections in order to strengthen and enrich the content of the displays
